Are you running out of energy?
Guy's this is about to get real... I am so EXHAUSTED! Recently I have felt so defeated. I feel trapped in a current space and it is draining me from all of my energy on a regular basis. Have you ever been there? Your heart may tell you one thing but your mind tells you something different? Or maybe you know what you are doing is just going to continue to hurt you, but you do it anyways for your own reasons?
I have been trapped for a very long time now. I continue to repeat my ways but know all I need to do is like my girl Elsa says, "Let it go", but why can't I let go?
There have been so many times where I have reached an empty state. I have felt lonely and out of so much energy. This has lead me to work so hard to keep current people in my life and not focus on this new experience of college. Maybe you can relate... there is someone who you might have been friends with for a while, and they start to drift away from you but you are determined to make it last so you put so much effort in it and it eventually leaves you feeling unhappy and tired all of the time. Why is it that we dwell on things that don't help us but rather hurt us in the end? All I know is I need re-evaluation in my life and my relationships and it is timed to get RECHARGED!
Hebrews 13:5-6 "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we can confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?'"
God is the ultimate recharger! He is yearning for you and me to ask him to fill us up when we feel empty. God never forsakes us and that is a relationship that will never drain us or leave us feeling unhappy. He is a healer and if you are feeling heartbroken or weak, God is ready to restore you and build you up to be a solider for Him and His kingdom.
Now this is easier said then done. I am still currently working on this area of my life. All I know is I am really unhappy in this area right now and am so tired. I am ready for a change. Now, I am not saying that if you have a friend or circumstance that causes you to work hard that you should stop all together. I am a firm believer in the power of love and I wholeheartedly believe in treating people the way you want to be treated. I will ALWAYS devote myself to be the best friend possible to all of my friends, I will always encourage them, love on them, and be there whenever they need me. However, I am going to stop working so hard and pouring myself into those friendships that are rejecting it. The one person who will never reject me is God so maybe, He is telling me that I need to pour myself into mine and His friendship for a bit and relax in some of these other friendships that is causing me to feel weak.
I am ready to feel refilled and recharged are you?
Dear God,
Thank you so much for all you have done for your children. Thank you for loving us unconditionally and displaying that love to us when you sent your only Son to die for all of our sins. You are a good, good Father and I am so blessed to serve such an amazing Lord. God I pray for each of us to re-evaluate some of the toxic things that are consuming so much of our energy and start to direct our energy towards someone more sustainable: YOU. God please help each of us feel recharged and built to be your soldiers. I love you with all of my heart! It is in Jesus name that I pray.
